The 2026 Chery Global Innovation Conference opened on October 20 at Chery's Global Technology Innovation Center in Wuhu under the theme "Change." The event served as both the company's annual technology showcase and a milestone in its evolution from a traditional automaker to an AI-driven global smart technology company.

The conference drew a distinguished lineup of guests, including Deng Xiangyang, President of the Anhui New Energy and Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry Development Association; Chen Xu, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers; local government leaders from Anhui Province and Wuhu; representatives from institutions including the University of Science and Technology of China, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Hefei University of Technology, Nanyang Technological University, Nanjing University, and Tongji University; supplier partners and media representatives; as well as Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., and company leadership. Together with more than 3,000 domestic and international partners, they witnessed the release of the Yaoguang 2035 strategy and Chery's latest technological achievements.

From internal combustion to new energy, and from mechanical engineering to AI, every breakthrough points in the same direction: returning technology to people and creating maximum value for human freedom—the vision behind the Yaoguang 2035 strategy. At this year's conference, a team of Chery doctors led by Dr. Gao Xinhua presented the strategy's technical report, built around the core concept of "one technology foundation, four freedoms."

From the new strategy to the implementation of advanced technologies, and from the 2050 Future Academy to the Future City, Chery believes that technological evolution is not about showing off, but about solving pain points in mobility, energy, food, and daily life to create a better, freer life.
